I Have, a poem by Robert A. Sieczkiewicz

I Have

I Have

Forever a picture is in my mind,
One of such loveliness hard to explain,
But be assured it can only be thine,
For only you can instill so such pain.

We happily played creating much joy.
When parting it was with a warm embrace,
And a sweet kiss you did gently deploy,
Making my wanting heart flutter and race.

Foolish me, thinking you heart I had won,
For I created a vision of you,
Of me ever being your only one.
Knowing now that my dream to be untrue!

Days spent lamenting of what cannot be,
But my dreams are still filled with you and me.
