To You I Pray, a poem by Robert A. Sieczkiewicz

To You I Pray

To You I Pray

My heavenly Father to you I pray
Giving You thanks for this wonderful day
Filled with much happiness but almost done
Time to reflect on your begotten Son
I humbly ask that You make me worthy
Of pain He willingly suffered for me
May His words fervently be my life’s guide
And the Holy Spirit remain inside
Let holy His name be upon my lip
At the moment that into sleep I slip

Husband, Father, Grandfather, Lover of all beautiful things. I love to read and write poetry. My favorite hangouts are libraries and museums and yet I love being outdoors. I am a dreamer of things that could be.

You mean a lot to me. Thank you for writing some of the most beautiful poems. They make me smile and cry. Hopefully I will see you soon! Linda
