Love’s Daydream End, Robert A. Sieczkiewicz

Can there ever be another like you,
Who can make me happy when I’m so blue,
Whose heart was meant for me ev’r to be true,
Love so tend’r my heart wishes to renew.

Two linked hearts carved into this rugged tree,
Our joined love was meant forever to be,
Filled to overflowing with laugh and glee.
I reach for you but there is only me.

Only you who can fix this broken heart.
Tis my hope that you have forgot me not,
To meet here once again for a new start,
With my solemn promise never to part.

Love cannot be of one, but hearts of two,
Being ev’r true lest have one bid adieu.
