Words to be Spoken, a poem by Robert A. Sieczkiewicz
Not to say what I’m really feeling,
Would be the same as to ask that I lie,
For if I were the whole truth to deny,
A horrible fate I would be sealing.
If true you love me not that is your choice,
And your heart you do not have to render,
As I’ll accept your words without anger,
But only if you listen to my voice!
You have possessed my body and my soul,
From that special moment we first embraced.
Your enthralling power could not resist.
There wasn’t any need for you to cajole,
Wounded, there wasn’t any need to be chased,
As this love harbored shall ever persist.
